FAQ

Tips How to Choose a Padel Racket?

1. There are three basic shapes of padel racket:

-Diamond: Perfect for advanced players. The sweet spot is smaller and located in the higher level of the racket. It makes it easier to hit the ball hard. They are not easy to control for the beginners.

-Tear Drop: Suitable for medium or advanced players. The sweet spot is in the higher level of the racket too.

-Round: Best for beginners. The sweet spot of the racket is rather big and it is located in the middle of it. The weight of the rackets is evenly distributed. These sorts of rackets are usually easy to control.

2. Thickness of the padel racket:

Nowadays most rackets ranges from 36 mm to 38 mm. Advanced players use to choose thicker rackets to hit the ball harder.

For beginners, thinner rackets because they are easier to use.

3. Materials of the padel racket:

Most frame of the rackets are made of fiberglass or carbon. The surface may contain 3k, 12k, 18k carbon.

And these are introduced to some higher end rackets to make them extra resistant to shocks and accidents.

4. Conclusions:

-Beginners: Using a light or medium weight racket, preferably round and thin, 36 mm or 38 mm.

-Medium level players: Using a medium weight racket. Using a round or tear shape racket, 36 mm or 38 mm.

-Advanced players: Using any shape and weight will be fine. Most players will make the most of their talent by utilizing diamond shaped, heavier rackets, 38mm thick.

-Women: Lighter rackets are best for the women. Most brands usually offer rackets specially tailored for women.

-Kids: Using a much lighter, thinner and smaller racket. Looking for specially designed rackets for kids.
